Dear Alumni Presidents and Members,

“It is only love that sets you free” – (Touched By An Angel by Maya Angelou)

Today we wish you Peace and Joy as we celebrate Easter.  History shows that Jesus Christ rose from the dead.  He is alive! He is risen!  This has been the cry for over two thousand years. He gave the supreme sacrifice so that all mankind could have hope. We have hope for a life of forgiveness, a life of humility, a life 0f peace and the assurance that we can have life eternal.

The Union of Jamaican Alumni Association USA Inc is a symbol of our commitment to a life of love and service. On behalf of the Board of Directors I wish you peace as you shout in exaltation, He is risen! He is alive! Christ Jesus lives today!

Some of us may be suffering. Some of us may not feel the love, the hope, the spirit that Jesus brings to each of us.  I dare to suggest, however, that deep inside we all feel moved to do good.  We all feel moved to help someone else who is not doing as well as we are.  Today let us pray for those who are suffering in silence. Let us unite as a Union and give thanks for our many blessings individually and collectively.

Be well as you go through this week, and face the challenges of life.  It is truly only love that sets us free and gives us the freedom to give of our best. We are all in this together and we shall overcome our challenges. As the saying goes, “hope springs eternal.”
