Brothers and Sisters in Service of our fellow Jamaicans, Today we pause to give thanks for another American Thanksgiving Day. Many of us migrated to these United States years ago, but our hearts never left our Beloved Jamaica. Turkey and stuffing became the order of the day, but our love for jerk chicken, escovitch fish, and all things Jamaican remained strong. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations USA Inc, affectionately called UJAA, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a special warm wish for Peace and Joy in your lives. Let us give thanks for our many blessings and be grateful that we are still here to celebrate this day.
Our Membership Committee crafted a special message for you all as well. It is attached.
I also ask that we remember to commit to sending Care Packages to Jamaica for Christmas by November 29th. Let us know how many packages you want to send. What better way to give thanks than to give to our school Brothers and Sisters back home? Let’s keep Thanksgiving flowing right through the next few weeks.
Thank you!
Donovan
