Good morning fellow UJAA members,

It has been just about two weeks since we had our Election of Officers on Thursday, September 19th.  You have not heard much from us as we are busy preparing for this 2024-2025 Board year and we were working to get our robotics team to Athens, Greece. I am happy to report that the team arrived in Athens on September 25th and is now back in Jamaica, arriving home last night.  They won three awards while there and moved up in the world rankings with FIRST Global, (FGC as we call this competition), from 78 to 58.  Please join us in celebrating team Jamaica for a job well done! 

Over the next few weeks you will hear more about Mega Drawing 2025. You will also hear about our church service scheduled for Sunday November 10th and you will begin to see some updates to our website.  We ask you to join us in supporting the B.I.G. Awards gala this Saturday in Brooklyn as well as the JAHJAH Foundation gala in New Jersey on Saturday. November 3rd. Please contact me for more details.

UJAA is officially 35 years old in 2025 and we must look to celebrate our achievements and celebrate those who made us proud through their contributions. There will be a lot more to come on this as the months go by.

Finally, dues are now due and should be paid by November 1st.  We will be updating our banner and only paid up members should be on it.  Show your pride to be a part of UJAA as we share our banner in various locations!
