Karlene Largie was elected Corresponding Secretary of the Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations (USA) Inc. in 2022. She has served in this position since 2020, having been a director from 2015 to 2019, as UJAA’s 6th President from 2008 to 2014, as a director from 2006 to 2008, and as Vice President from 2005 to 2006. Karlene is the Vice President of the Immaculate Conception High School (ICHS) Alumnae Association NY Chapter, having served as their President for many years. She was inducted in the ICHS Hall of Fame in 2017. She serves and has served on the Board of Directors of other community organizations. Her activities in the Diaspora are many and varied and includes being a founding member of the Jamaica Diaspora Education Task Force (JDETF).
Following a successful 32-year career in corporate banking operations, Karlene retired as a Vice President in Cash Management Operations.
