The Union of Jamaican Alumni Association (USA) is a non-profit umbrella organization of Alumni Associations of Jamaican educational institutions. Our Mission is to promote academic excellence of schools in Jamaica.
As of Wednesday 8 July 2020, we’ve ordered2,039care packages for47schools! Thank you! 1,837* packages have been delivered so far. Flour and rice have been added to the packages. (Sugar is still being negotiated.) Our weekly tracking report is updated weekly, so feel free to take a look at our progress. We plan to continue this project through August 19th. Our July General Meeting will be held via Zoom on Wednesday22July 2020 at 7 PM. Please make a note of the date/time. A meeting notice with the Zoom link will be sent a week in advance.
2020 UJAA ELECTIONS
UJAA’s Nominations Process was emailed on 1 July 2020. If you haven’t received it, please follow-up with your Board Member Liaison to obtain a copy or send a request to the Nominations and Elections team atNominations@ujaausa.org. The Nominations and Elections team is: Sharon Wilson (Merl Grove) – Chair, Elaine Chen (York Street) and Hubert Guscott (Wolmer’s).
MEGA RAFFLE DRAWING
Our Mega Drawing is being arranged for Saturday 25 July 2020. It will be a very modified event since COVID-19 precautions are still in place. The results will be posted on theUJAAwebsite on Sunday 26 July 2020. Last call for tickets from your participating alumni association. Please contact them to get your winning tickets!

The Jamaica Diaspora Education Task Force held its 5th (and 1st Virtual) Education Summit on the afternoons of 7 – 8 – 9 July 2020 from 1P – 6P ET. The Summit was FREE and over 2,000 participants registered to attend. Several UJAA members and schools attended! If you missed it, recordings of the seminars will be posted onWWW.JDTAN.ORG.
