Greetings as we move into Summer! The season will officially begin in a few days. We have a packed slate over the next few weeks and I hope that you will all have fun while we find ways to give back.

JDTAN Education Summit in Miramar Florida

This week several of us are in Fort Lauderdale taking part in the JDTAN Education Summit 2023 for 0ver 100 teachers from Jamaica. This is the 8th Summit and UJAA is a major sponsor of the event. We traveled to Florida, at our own expense, to contribute our time and professional skills to assist with this conference.

Leadership Development Academy 2023 – Non-Profit Fundamentals

We kicked off our Leadership Development Academy for 2023 with a robust session for over 65 attendees. I want to remind you to complete the survey that was sent out after the session last Wednesday. So far only 17 respondents have done so. Even if you did not attend personally, please share this note with your colleagues so that those who attended may be reminded to complete the survey.

Our High School Graduate Awards is Monday June 26th. Please plan on supporting this special annual event.

Final Words for this Week

There is a time for everything. UJAA, the collective must take precedence over any of us – our work is for our children in Jamaica and they need our help badly.
